Automation of Stock Maintenance

The Client

The client is a manufacturer of ‘Labels’ for various fast running food products in Chennai.

The Challenge

The company’s stock entry and maintenance process was done manually. The challenge was to create an architecture that would suit them to keep track of their stock.

The Solution

A Microsoft Technology based solution was developed and a 3-tier architecture was used. The Web Frontend was developed in ASP.Net and the Database Layer consisted of MS SQL.

Salient features:

• A web interface was used to help in the maintenance of stock which basically included receipt and issue entries.
• The receipt entries were made in two separate screens. One dealing with Normal Materials Issued (Normal Material Issue Format) and the other with, Labels Issued to customers.
• A number of reports can be generated, including Stock Summary.

Verilog executed the design, development and testing of the entire system within their budget and timeframe. Our quality practices substantially reduced reworking and testing costs.
