The Client

The client deals with manufacturing of Gaskets in Chennai which is distributed globally. The client provides customers with products that are cost-effective, easy-to-use and with excellent sound quality that customers expect from their telephone provider.

The Solution

A Microsoft Technology based solution was developed and a 3-tier architecture was used. The Web Frontend was developed in ASP.Net, Business logic was encapsulated with it and the Database Layer consisted of MS SQL.

Salient features:

• A web interface to add/edit vendor profiles and preferences
• A web interface to view/approve/reject orders
• Ability to process approved orders and review status
• Generate the vendor PO in the desired format (Excel/PDF)
• Save the PO to the file system using some well-defined nomenclature
• Email/fax the PO to the vendors based on vendor preference
• Generate appropriate order processing reports

Verilog executed the design, development and testing of the entire system within their budget and timeframe. Verilog’s flexible model ensured that resources were available to match, peaks and troughs throughout the SDLC and Verilog’s quality practices substantially reduced reworking and testing costs.
